Congratulations to the NHSRA Junior High Rodeo Competitors

Fort Western Stores would like to congratulate all of the Nebraska students heading out to compete in the 2012 National Junior High Finals Rodeo in Gallup, New Mexico. These students have competed in state wide rodeos throughout the year in order to qualify for their events at the national finals. Now they will be competing against over 900 other kids from around the country, and even from Canada and Australia.

This is the 8th year of junior high level competition for the National High School Rodeo Association. The addition of the junior high division allowed for students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade to join the rodeo circuit, instead of having to wait until high school. There are even junior high division specific events including boy's chute dogging, breakaway roping, goat tying and ribbon roping.
