"Sissy" Georges: A Barrel Racer’s Extraordinary Story of Dreams and Inspiration

It’s not everyday you hear a story so inspiring and heartfelt it changes the way you view your own life. Sissy’s extraordinary story does just that. Christina “Sissy” Georges is a gifted Barrel Racer whose passion and determination to overcome adversity drove her to win national titles.

This courageous Nebraska cowgirl touched our hearts here at Fort Western with her “awe-inspiring” video.

Her story is the most amazing true story I have ever heard, and she and her mom are the two most phenomenal people I have ever met…when you see/hear about the obstacles that both of these women have overcome, it will make your spirit soar.”
-- Lori Gottula.

Nebraska writer, Lori Gottula, has dedicated her time to writing a screenplay and book based on Sissy’s life with the hope of inspiring others. Together they visit schools and give motivational presentations encouraging students to work hard and achieve their dreams. Lori’s goal is to get Sissy’s story made into a feature film where her uplifting message will reach millions.

Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. For more information, become a fan of "SISSY Christina Georges screenplay" on Facebook.

That is incredible. Until the part where they unveil it, I had no idea Sissy was legally blind! I know so many people in my life who are perfectly healthy and wouldn't have the perseverence and patience to train a barrel horse to championship levels, let alone if they were legally blind! Way to go, Sissy - I would say "You'll go far," but you already have! Keep up the awesome work!
