The Saddle & Sirloin Club Travels by Bus to Fort Western Stores

Sunday, May 22, 2011 members of the Saddle & Sirloin Club visited Fort Western Stores in Lincoln, NE. Around 60 members traveled by bus from Kansas City to Lincoln to tour the city and shop for western wear and decor.

The Club usually attends two trail riding events each year. However, this year's Spring trail ride was canceled, as a precautionary measure, following the diagnosis of Equine Herpes Virus(EHV-1) in Colorado earlier this month. As a result, the club left their horses home and substituted the trail ride for a club outing.

"It's not uncommon for folks to travel by chartered bus to shop at The Fort. We've had groups of ranchers travel here from as far North as Canada," said Steve Wolhfarth, General Manager, Fort Western Stores.

Shopping Fort Western Outfitters 44,000 square foot location served as the club's final stop before heading back home.
